Ron began his carrer as a Letter Carrier on July 4th, 1987, at the Englewood New Jersey Post Office. After one year, Ron took an active role in Branch 38, first as an alternate Steward and eventually progressing to the role of Chief Steward at the request of the Englewood Carriers in 1989.
Ron, due to personal issues had to step down as steward, however, he regained that title in 1996 representing over 60 letter carriers. 
Throughout his many years, Ron has held many postions with Branch 38, they include, Alternate Steward, Chief Steward, Safety Captain, Employee Involvement, Route Inspection Representative, Food Drive Coordinator and Customer Connect Coordinator. 
In 2016, Ron graduated from the Step B training class and was appointed by President Fred Rolando to the New Jersey DRT team. Ron held that posstion until his retirement from the Postal Service in September of 2024.
 
In October of 2024, Ron was elected by acclimation to the position of Fulltime Area Representative with NJ Merged Branch and began to hold this position in January of 2025.
Ron is a committed advocate for the rights of NALC members, especially contract violations, mistreatment and improper non-payment of members, in addition to being knowledgeable of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) law and all applicable provisions. Additionally, Ron is scheduled to attend Arbitraion Training in the summer of 2025. 
Ron takes much pride in upholding the NAtional Agreement and fighting for Letter Carriers. 
 
Ron lives in Teaneck, NJ with his wife Yvette. Thy have been married for 34 years and have four children, Ronald Jr, Khaliyah, Khalid and Malik as well as Grandchildren, Harper and Jonathan
