Mike began his career in the Postal Service at the Rumson
Post Office as a PTF Letter Carrier in December of 2000.
In
2013, Mike was encouraged by his fellow letter carriers to take on the role of Shop Steward. Mike gladly accepted the responsibility
to represent his fellow letter carriers.
Besides continuing to represent letter carriers, Mike has served in
other roles in his office. Mike has been an On the Job Instructor, Food Drive Coordinator, Safety Captain and the Customer
Connect Coordinator. Most recently Mike has been involved as a Route Examination Observer for the Branch.
In May of 2020, President Mike O'Neill appointed Mike Hedglin to be a Part-Time Area
Representative for Branch 38 and in October of 2024, Mike was elected by acclimation to the position of Branch Trustee.We
are happy to have Mike on our team,and look forward to working with him for many years to come.
