Roy began his postal career as a letter carrier in 2008 in the River Edge NJ Post Office. Roy has been
a Branch 38 member from day one and Branch 38 Officer Paul Biggs appointed him shop steward only after six months with the
USPS.
Roy has held many positions for the NALC
and Branch 38. He served as a district route adjustment and evaluation member in 2010 and 2011 under JARAAP. Also in 2011,
he served as a FSS review team member. In 2012, Roy was chosen to become a Congressional District Leader to rally communities
to keep six day delivery and door to door delivery.
In 2014 Roy became a part time area representative for Branch 38. Later that year, NALC
NBA Region 15 Larry Cirelli and NALC Director of City Delivery Brian Renfro appointed Roy to lead the NNJ District Route Adjustment
Team for 2014-2015 (CDRAAP). After being selected by NALC President Fred Rolando, Roy attended and graduated Leadership Academy
Class 18. In 2015, Roy was chosen to be an arbitration advocate for Branch 38 and Region 15 by NBA Larry Cirelli. He also
writes the monthly safety and EAP bulletin for Branch 38. In 2017, Roy was appointed by President O'Neill to the Branch
38 Executive Board as a Trustee. In October of 2024, Roy was elected by acclimation to the position of Director of City Delivery.
Roy is thankful for the Branch 38 Officers and its members
for having the trust and faith in him to carry out his many duties and responsibilities. He prides himself in protecting the
rights of all the letter carriers of Branch 38.
Roy is married to his wife Melissa and
has three children Alexa, Taylor and Roy III.
