Ron Villegas' first position with the Postal Service was as a casual in 1974. In 1985 he returned to the Postal Service as a career employee at the Old Bridge Post Office.

He began attending Branch 38 monthly meetings, and was appointed Alternate Shop Steward.  He was subsequently elected Shop Steward, a position he held for over twenty-five years. 

Ron served on a number of route adjustment teams, including the CDRAAP team.  He was appointed Part-Time Area Representative in 2014. 

Ron was appointed by President O'Neill to the position of Director of Retirees. Ron has also been appointed by NJ State Association President Richard O'Connell to the position of Director  of Retirees for the State Association.
