Mike Began his career as a letter carrier in October of 2019. He was fortuate
enogh to become regular in January of 2020. When the opportunity to run for Shop Steward came, Mike took the chalenge and
was elected steward in January of 2025. Mike believes the ability to represent letter carriers, enforce the contract and empower
carriers to stand up for their rights is very rewarding. Mike also feels that a Stewards very important quality a steward
can have is th eability to listen. A stewrads job is to be a resource for all carriers when they have questions and concerns.
In July of 2025,
Mike was appointed Part-Time Area Representaive by Branch 38 President, Joseph Rutkoski. Mike is thankful for the opportunity
given to him and hopes to keep up the tradition of fighting for and defending carrier's rights. It is a honor to assist
and educate stewards. Mike, believes a steward who understands their contractual rights and spreds that knowledge to fellow
letter carriers makes our union stronger.
Mike currently lives in Wykoff, NJ with his wife Jessica. They have been married since
1999 and have two boys, Conner and Daniel.
