Biography

Paul began his career in the USPS in 1969 as a PTF carrier in the Emerson, NJ Post Office.  The very next year, Paul joined his fellow letter carriers on the picket line during the Postal Strike of 1970.  He became a full-time regular carrier in 1972.

Paul’s first office with the NALC was as assistant shop steward from 1974-1977.  He then served as shop steward for twenty one years from 1974-1995.  As Paul became more involved with the Branch, he was asked to fill a number of important roles including member of the EI Steering Committee and Listen Coordinator for the Hackensack MSC.  He eventually became a Part-Time Area Representative for the Branch in 1984, and was appointed NALC Region 15 DPS Coordinator in 1992.

Paul was appointed to a position as a full-time officer in Branch 38 in 1995, and has been elected to a number of positions since that time. Those positions include Director of City Delivery, Second Vice President, Second Vice President/Treasurer, and First Vice President/Treasurer, the office he currently holds.

Paul was married to his lovely wife Diane in August of 1978 and has two children; Kevin and Kim.
