Clifford began his career as
a CCA in the Rutherford Post Office at the beginning of 2017. Driven to find greater fairness for himself and other CCAs he
began attending local Branch 38 meetings to learn very early in his career. Cliff says for him, learning to understand our
cotract as a letter carrier felt like a caveman discovering fire for the first time. By learning to navigate the contract
and applying what he learned he was elected Shop Steward in 2021. Cliff was the proud recipient of Branch 38s Hero award in
2022 for his work coordinating with local schools to boost participation in our Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
In 2023, Cliff recieved training in Workers Compensation with Region 15 to help him assist injured members.
He also participated in multiple Formal A and beyond training classes held at Branch 38 as a student and a mentor. In 2024
Cliff was appointed Part-Time Area Representative by President Mike O'Neill. Cliff has been selected to attend Formal A and
Beyond training with National in Maryland in the fall of 2025. Cliff remains as grateful for all Letter Carriers today as
the first day he came to a Branch meeting, and he is gratefull for all the members who strive together in solidarity to make
each other's lives a little better.
